Executive Director Position

The Otoe-Missouria Gaming Commission is hiring for the position of Executive Director:

The Executive Director will work directly under the Otoe-Missouria Gaming Commissioners and will work with the General Managers and management staff at all Otoe-Missouria Gaming Facilities. Serves as a liaison between the NIGC, State Compliance Office, and Vendor Compliance Officers. Prepares reports, interprets technical information, knowledge of NIGC regulations, and makes recommendations to maintain compliance of the Otoe-Missouria Casinos. Possesses a broad working knowledge of procedures, operating policies, forms, and terminology used throughout the casino. Keep abreast of all regulations, controls, standards, and current policies and procedures applicable to the gaming operation. Uses good judgment in applying regulations to specific situations. Demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems. Familiar with all areas of the Gaming Commission and have a clear understanding of each position held by the Gaming Commission Staff. Initiates and ensures investigations of possible acts by employees who may commit or conceal errors or irregularities in the course of duties by reviewing Surveillance and Security reports. Reviews Surveillance footage to further investigate incidents. Determines the scope and direction of investigations, directs the Internal Control Auditors to translate observations into written form and provides remedial actions to avoid losses. Serves as a source of technical information and shares such information to define and clarify compliance requirements. Controls the release of information, respects confidential information and maintains complete confidentiality. Directs the issuance of fines through Notice of Violations. Qualifications: Degree in Business, Accounting, Marketing, Law, or another relevant field preferred, demonstrates knowledge of Tribal Gaming, licensing requirements, surveillance requirements, compliance and audit requirements, and MIC Standards required, and must be at least 21 years of age. Skills: Computer literacy, typing, Microsoft Office, Professionalism, team-work, self-motivating, adaptable to high stress environment, and strong communication (oral and written).
